Oxford University Press’ range of Australian secondary school dictionaries have all been compiled specifically with the needs of Australian secondary school students in mind. Each dictionary draws its ultimate authority from the vast resources of the Oxford English Dictionary and its continually updated database, with Australian material drawn from the Australian National Dictionary and the database of Australian English maintained by the Australian National Dictionary Centre in Canberra. The dictionaries are then edited according to the needs of each age level and the demands of the curriculum, from the first years of secondary school through to Year 12.
