Oxford University Press’ range of New Zealand primary school dictionaries have all been compiled specifically with the needs of New Zealand primary school students in mind. Each dictionary draws its ultimate authority from the vast resources of the Oxford English Dictionary and its continually updated database, with New Zealand material drawn from the Dictionary of New Zealand English and the database of New Zealand English maintained by the New Zealand Dictionary Centre at Victoria University in Wellington. The dictionaries are then edited according to the needs of each age level and the demands of the curriculum, from the first years of school through to Junior school.
