The New Zealand Dictionary Centre
The New Zealand Dictionary Centre was established in July 1997 in partnership with Victoria University of Wellington and Oxford University Press with the purposes of:
• maintaining and developing a database of New Zealand English vocabulary
• conducting research on other aspects of language in New Zealand
• preparing and publishing dictionaries and related educational materials.
It aims to provide a focal point nationally and internationally for New Zealand lexicography.
NZWords
The newsletter of the New Zealand Dictionary Centre, NZWords, is published once a year and subscription is free. The newsletter keeps readers informed on all aspects of the research and publishing activities of the Centre, and features informative articles on New Zealand lexicographic topics.
