We would like to invite all Teacher Education academics to nominate a student for the

Oxford Education Practicum Award

First prize $2000

Runner-up $500

A judging panel of Education Academics from across Australia will award the prize to the student whose practicum assignment best demonstrates...


  • An innovative approach
  • Application of best teaching practice
  • Learning processes through experience
  • Is clear and easy to follow
  • Critical moments in teaching and learning
  • Highly reflective learning outcomes
  • Good use of the medium selected
  • Effective communication skills

To Enter

Each lecturer may nominate one 2nd year student and their Practicum assignment with up to 200 words explaining why this student’s work show best teaching and learning practice.


Criteria for Entry

  • This award is open to all Australian students in their 2nd year of a Pre-Service Teacher Education degree.
  • All entries must be nominated by an academic. Students may not nominate their own work.
Entries Close December 15th 2010
