PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY

We respect the privacy of our customers and contacts. We will only hold personal information about you in accordance with this policy.  

Personal information may include your name, date of birth, current and previous addresses, telephone/ mobile/ facsimile number, email address, banking details, purchase history

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect personal information in a number of ways, such as online orders or subscriptions to our mailing lists.

Our website uses cookies (data packets issued by our web server to your browser) to allow returning customers easier access to their order history. Session cookies are used during the construction of a shopping trolley but these are discarded upon closing your browser.

ACCESSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

To the extent required by the Privacy Act, and on request by you, we will provide you with access to personal information that we hold about you except to the extent that providing access would have an unreasonable impact upon the privacy of other individuals or would be unlawful; denying access is required or authorised by or under law; or restricting access is otherwise required or authorised by the Privacy Act. We may charge a fee for providing you with access to personal information we hold about you.  

We will take all responsible precautions to ensure the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you establish that personal information that we hold about you is not accurate, complete and up-to-date, we will take reasonable steps to correct these errors.

If we do not allow you to access personal information that we hold about you, or refuse to correct personal information we hold about you, we will provide you with reasons for making that decision.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The use and disclosure of personal information will only be for the purpose for which it was collected or for a related secondary purpose (a purpose other than the primary purpose), unless: we are under a legal duty to disclose personal information about you or we are otherwise compelled to disclose such information; or you have consented to its use or disclosure.

INFORMATION STORAGE AND SECURITY

We will store personal information in a combination of secure computer-based storage facilities and paper-based files and records.

We have taken a number of steps to protect personal information from misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, modification or loss.

We generally use accepted technology and security so that we are satisfied that personal information is transmitted safely to us through the internet or other electronic means.
