From Research to Practice

Oxford University Press is a department of the University of Oxford. It furthers the University’s objective of excellent in research, and Oxford is proud to be involved in research conducted in partnership with institutions including the University of Melbourne and Flinders University, South Australia.

Our most recent research, which investigated the high frequency words in children’s writing and reading development in the first five years of school, produced the Oxford Wordlist and Oxford Wordlist Plus, both of which can be downloaded here.
