Team X is an exciting new series of fiction and non-fiction books with audio and writing cards, specifically designed to build fluency and vocabulary. The structure of Team X allows students to use each book to develop the literacy skills of listening, reading and writing.

The fiction titles in Team X follow the adventures of Max, Cat, Ant and Tiger – four children who one day discover four amazing watches that allow them to shrink. They have many fantastic and action-packed micro-adventures, exploring an ordinary world made extraordinary by their micro-size.

·         Adult mentors (‘eXperts’) read aloud, modelling fluent reading

·          To support fluent reading, students read text aloud with the mentor

·          Paired or small-group activities allow students to practise fluent reading

·          Vocabulary

·          Engaging character stories that use ‘rich’ vocabulary

·          Cluster themes of books that introduce theme vocabulary across fiction and non-fiction

·          Writing cards feature vocabulary and writing activities
