Envol represents a new option for motivated learners of French. It may be used in two ways: as a self-contained course for 14-16 years old, Envol offers a stimulating direct route to higher levels of GCSE and to Standard Grade (credit) in a single volume; as the first stage in a 14-18 programme, Envol lays a firm foundation for further studies, providing the linguistic, grammatical and study skills needed. Envol leads into the advanced level course Essor. Envol covers all key topic areas, and includes a special focus on: the francophone world; the world of work (with video option); contemporary poetry and fiction; grammar and pronunciation; opinion-giving and debate; dictionary and study skills.

The course for high flyers! Features: Gives particular emphasis to grammar and pronunciation. Contains a wealth of poetry and fiction not usually found in standard texts. Encourages lively opinion-giving and classroom debate. Focuses on study skills in each unit. Full teacher support is provided through the Teacher's Book and photocopiable Copymaster Book, both of which are packed full of ideas and activities.
