Developed in collaboration with mental health experts, healthcare professionals, and university students and staff, Being Well, Living Well will enable institutions to take a consistent, preventative approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support for every student, from pre-arrival to postgraduate study. Through a variety of bespoke animations, self-reflection activities, and action plans, students will be able to build self-insight and develop strategies for coping with and preventing wellbeing challenges they may face. Made up of 18 concise modules, the toolkit’s flexible, modular structure allows students to dip in and out of the content according to their unique needs and schedule.
Developed specifically for Australian institutions
Being Well, Living Well will help all students at Australian institutions to develop practical strategies for coping with, and preventing, a range of wellbeing issues. The toolkit’s interactive activities and student interviews reflect the diversity of the Australian university community and incorporate indigenous experiences, whilst the live polls and peer perspectives will help students to understand that they are not alone in experiencing challenges in their academic and personal lives.
The toolkit also features cultural, legal, and financial contexts and practical information specific to Australia, along with regular signposting to relevant support services, helping students to know when and where to seek further help if needed. Furthermore, the toolkit’s digital format provides a ‘safe space’ for students to explore key concepts that can be difficult to talk about face-to-face – ensuring that all students can access a comprehensive baseline of support anytime, anywhere.
Implementation options
We offer absolute flexibility in the implementation of the Being Well, Living Well toolkit, in order to support institutions in integrating its resources into existing wellbeing activities and initiatives. The toolkit can be integrated into your Learning Management System, with the ability to customise key elements of the resources with institutional links and materials, or alternatively your institution can provide access via Epigeum’s dedicated online platform.
