Oxford University Press “Take the stress out of exam success” Competition 2021 Terms & Conditions :

  1. Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The promoter is Oxford University Press Australia and New Zealand (ABN 298 691 632 36); 8/737, Bourke Street, Docklands VIC 2008. Phone: 03 9934 9123.
  3. The competition is open to students of Queensland schools aged 15 to 18 years old except employees of Oxford University Press and their families and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
  4. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  5. Entries must answer the following:
    • OUPANZ will post a Facebook call out for participants to post a comment on how they “Take the stress out study”
    • Participants will write in 25 words or less in the comments section of OUP ANZ’s competition call out post
    • Participants can comment more than once but can be eligible to only one prize
  6. All entries to the competition must be comments under the competition post on the Facebook page of Oxford University Australia (https://www.facebook.com/oupanz)
  7. Tagging friends in unrelated posts or other pages will not qualify for the competition. Entries that are late, incomplete or illegible or not submitted in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified at the Oxford University Press’s sole discretion.
  8. Closing date for entry will be 11.59pm (AEDT) Monday 30 August 2021. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. Winner will be drawn the following day and announced the first week of September through OUPANZ’s Facebook page.
  9. No responsibility will be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  10. The winning competition prize is one set of noise-cancelling headphones valued up to $500, and the choice of 3 Study Buddy titles, won by one winning entry. The 9 runners-up will receive a prize consisting of their choice of 3 Study Buddy titles each.

    The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute the prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  11. The winner(s) will be chosen by a Facebook Comment Picker, a free online generator that randomly selects comments from the competition Facebook post (https://commentpicker.com/). The first comment chosen by the online generator will win the first prize. The second comment to tenth comment chosen by the online generator will win the runners-up prize.
  12. This promotion is in no way administered by Facebook. Each entrant acknowledges that this promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. To the extent permitted by law, each entrant releases Facebook from any and all liability in relation to this promotion.
  13. The winner(s) will be announced on OUP ANZ’s Facebook page on Thursday the 2nd of September 2021, and will be required to email OUP ANZ to claim their prize.
  14. The winner(s) will be announced on Oxford University Press’s website https://www.oup.com.au/secondary/exam-and-revision-guides/oxford-study-buddy. The winner may be required to participate in related publicity without further recompense.
  15. The entrant warrants that their competition entry does not violate or infringe the rights of any person whatsoever.
  16. You are providing your information to Oxford University Press and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found at www.oup.com.au/privacy.
  17. The decisions of Oxford University Press in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  18. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.
  19. Prizes not claimed within this timeframe will be forfeited and another entrant will be judged the winner in its place.
  20. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost or misdirected prizes.
  21. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash.
  22. If Oxford University Press is not able to run the competition as planned due to unforeseen circumstances, Oxford University Press shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions.
  23. Oxford University Press will not be liable for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any person entering or not being able to enter the competition or as a result of accepting any prize. Oxford University Press is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet, telephone lines or at any website or any combination thereof. Nothing shall exclude Oxford University Press’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
  24. The competition and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
