Session details

Join our expert team of teachers and authors as they offer strategies for how you can best help prepare your students for the external assessment.

Each workshop will include:

  • practical tips on how you can design internal assessment tasks that are engaging and meaningful – as well as valid and reliable – and that prepare students for external assessment
  • strategies for how you can support your students to create texts that are effective and discerning
  • a demonstration of the features and resources included in Oxford’s English for Queensland Units 3 & 4

Dr Kelli McGraw
Dr Kelli McGraw is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at Queensland University of Technology. Kelli currently teaches secondary English curriculum and draws on her prior experience teaching secondary school English and debating. Kelli is also the Vice President of the English Teachers’ Association of Queensland.

Lindsay Williams
Lindsay Williams has been an educator in Queensland for 35 years. He has taught English, and has been a Head of English, at both state and private schools. Lindsay has also served on numerous curriculum committees and panels, and has coordinated and taught teacher preparation courses. Lindsay is currently completing a PhD focused on the way performers build relationships with their audience.
