Authors
Tanya Schramm worked as an Industrial Chemist for over 15 years before beginning her teaching career. She has experience in a variety of fields including food science, drug analysis and oil refining. After changing careers, Tanya taught in the UK before returning to Queensland where she continued to teach in both the public and private schools. Tanya’s passion for learning and teaching about the world around underpins her love of Senior Chemistry and Middle School Science instruction. Tanya has also been a Chemistry panel member with QCAA for 10 years.
Josiah Bishop has been teaching in independent schools in Brisbane since 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Science with a dual major in Advanced Chemistry and Mathematics. He also holds a Master of Science (Analytical Chemistry) with first class honours. In addition to teaching, Josiah has occupied a numbers of roles in research and education including curriculum development, online content development and Senior subject coordination. He has a keen interest in analytical chemistry specifically looking at fluorescent biomarkers for use in identifying active Manuka honeys and nectars.
