Congratulations on choosing Mathematics and Statistics for Aotearoa New Zealand (Second edition). Thank you for your support – we’re looking forward to working alongside your team and ensuring you have a great experience with the programme.
This page is your home base for the months ahead. It walks you through:
Set up student accounts and book in for your Complete programme training in Term 1, 2027
Take me there
Step 1: Early access
Teacher accounts are created by the Customer Support team at Oxford. To get your team started, we need one person at your school, usually a curriculum leader or administrator, to send us the names and email addresses of the teachers who need access.
What to do
Open your school's teacher setup form here.
Add one row for each teacher: first name, last name, school email address, and the year levels they teach. You can paste straight from a spreadsheet or SMS export.
Click submit.
We'll create the accounts within 2 to 3 working days. Each teacher will then receive an email from Oxford with their login details and a link to get started. You'll get a confirmation from us once your whole team is done.
Adding teachers later? No problem!
New staff, relievers and anyone who joins you in January or beyond can be added at any time using the same form. Just submit their details and we’ll have them set up within 2 to 3 working days.
Step 2: Early access training in Term 4, 2026
Every school using Oxford is entitled to two training sessions with our team. We recommend:
booking your first session in Term 4, 2026, so your teachers can get familiar with the new programme and use the draft teacher support to begin planning for 2027
booking your second session in Term 1, 2027 when the full programme and platform are available and student accounts have been created.
Sessions are suitable for anyone teaching the programme next year, whether they’re new to Oxford or moving across from the first edition. Teachers can join individually, or you can gather the team around one screen; whatever works for your school.
What's available and when
The Oxford programme will be available from the start of Term 4, 2026 in line with the Ministry of Education timeline. Here’s exactly what’s coming and when:

A new-look Oxford Digital, coming for 2027
From Term 4 you’ll see a fresh design with a clearer, simpler interface for both teachers and students.
The platform will remember where you last left off in a lesson and take you back with a single click, and teachers can personalise their Teacher Hub to reach assignments, marking and reports instantly.
A range of new tools and reports comes with it, including the multilingual glossary, whole-school insights reporting and the Kea AI student tutor for Phase 3.
We know a change of platform mid-year is the last thing anyone needs, so you’re in control of the timing:
Start of Term 4 2026: the new-look Teacher Hub is released, with a toggle switch so you can try the new experience or stay with the current one.
Start of Term 1 2027: all other features on the new Oxford Digital go live. The toggle switch stays available throughout Term 1, so your school can make the move in its own time.

Step 3: Term 1 implementation
Set up student accounts ready for Term 1, 2027
Student Dashboards will be available at the start of Term 1 2027. There are two options to set up student accounts on Oxford Digital.
Te Rito is a secure, cloud-based Ministry of Education service that shares student data between your school’s SMS, the Ministry and other approved education systems and applications. It’s free for schools to connect, and more than 1,000 schools have signed up so far.
Once your school is connected, your SMS stays the single source of truth for student information, and connected systems update automatically every 24 hours. For you, that means no spreadsheets, no manual lists, and no re-sending details every time a student arrives or leaves. Te Rito holds full IT Certification and Accreditation, Safer Technologies for Schools badging, and an approved Privacy Impact Assessment.
What you need to do:
Check whether your school is already connected. Many schools connected during 2025 and 2026. Your SMS administrator or principal will know.
If you’re not connected, you will need to connect your SMS.
It usually takes only a few minutes, and all the major systems are supported. Edge and Helix schools tick the Te Rito box under Admin Panel, then School Settings. Hero site administrators toggle the connection under Customise, then Te Rito. eTAP schools email or phone the eTAP team, who do it for you. KAMAR schools email terito@education.govt.nz to request credentials, then enter them under Setup, Server, Te Rito. Full step-by-step instructions for every SMS are on the Te Rito resources page: terito.govt.nz/resources
Work through the privacy checklist on the same page, which covers your school’s privacy policy, your Privacy Officer, and letting parents and whānau know that Te Rito is in use.
Tell us you’re connected using the form below, and we’ll take care of the rest.

If your school is not connected to Te Rito, student accounts can be created by the Customer Support team at Oxford. To get your students set up, we need one person at your school (usually a curriculum leader or administrator), to send us the names and email addresses of all students who need access.
Open your school’s student setup form.

Add one row per student: first name, last name, year level, and their class or teacher.
Click Submit. You can paste straight from your SMS export, so there’s no need to type anything in by hand.
We’ll create the accounts and set up your classes within 2 to 3 working days.
Book your complete programme training
Your second training session runs in Week 1 of Term 1 2027, when students come on board and the full programme is live. We’ll offer both online sessions and in-person sessions during the teacher-only days, so you can choose whichever suits your team.
More information and session times coming soon!
Frequently asked questions
For anything at all to do with accounts, training or resources, please contact Customer Service.
One person, usually a curriculum leader, maths lead or office administrator. Doing it in one go from a single list is far quicker than teachers registering individually, and it means we can spot any missing staff before term starts.
Anyone who will teach from the programme should have an account, including part-time and job-share teachers. For relievers, most schools set up their regular relievers and add others as needed during the year.
That’s expected, and it’s easy to manage. Submit the new staff through the same form and we’ll have them set up within 2 to 3 working days. Let us know about anyone who has left and we’ll remove their access.
Yes! Every teacher will be given access to all year level books in their phase as standard. If your school has ordered Oxford for more than one phase, teachers can have access to those year levels too. Just let us know in the setup form!
A device with an up-to-date browser and an internet connection. Oxford Digital works on laptops, Chromebooks, desktops and tablets, and there’s nothing to install.
Student Dashboards will be live from the start of Term 1 2027. We’ll be in touch during Term 4 with what we need from you to get students and classes created, so it’s ready to go on day one.
All workbooks are in stock and shipping from the Ministry of Education’s Auckland warehouse. If you have any questions, please email: maths.resources@education.govt.nz
