In Emerald and the Magic Shell, Emerald goes on a camping holiday with her mum, stepdad King Auster, and stepsister Delphine. But it isn't like the camping trips Emerald used to take with her dad when she was little. King Auster uses his magic shell at every opportunity to make the trip more luxurious. Emerald is determined to do camping properly, without magic, but when she wakes up in the night feeling cold, she decides to use the shell after all-to disastrous effect!
Illustrated throughout in sea green and black, Emerald is perfect for readers who are looking for a first chapter book with a splash of wildness and wonder.

`"Emerald's underwater world with its dolphin rides, amazing-sounding food and friendly sea creatures will fascinate and delight young readers, but for all that she's a mermaid - and now a princess - Emerald is just like them too and that's what makes these books so special. Emerald rules!"' Love Reading 4 Kids
